Bass icon Mala, one half of seminal duo Digital Mystikz and the visionary behind the influential record label and club night DMZ, is returning to Australia and New Zealand. Emerging in the early 2000s as UK garage morphed into dubstep, South London producers Mala and Coki – together Digital Mystikz – created a dark, atmospheric style that set the blueprint for a generation.

As a founding member of DMZ and the driving force behind Deep Medi Musik, he shaped dubstep’s earliest language, opening doors for a worldwide movement while remaining rooted in community, craft, and collaboration. His catalogue spans iconic tracks such as Changes, Anti War Dub, and Left Leg Out, as well as expansive projects like Mala In Cuba and Mirrors, albums that connected London’s underground to the wider world with depth, curiosity, and spiritual weight.
