Label head, producer, DJ, and one of the defining architects of modern UK club music, Pangaea returns.
Across his DJ sets and productions, genres don’t just blend, they fracture and reform. Rhythms collide, basslines mutate, and new ideas emerge in the gaps. Pangaea has spent the past fifteen years shaping the sound and direction of UK dance music from the inside out.
As a co-founder of Hessle Audio alongside Ben UFO and Pearson Sound, Pangaea helped steer the label through the collapse of dubstep’s first wave and into the post-dubstep era with rare clarity and intent. Where others stalled, Hessle moved forward, defining a sound that was restless, functional, and future-facing.
His productions are club music with purpose. Direct, assertive, and groove-led, his releases on Hessle and his own Hadal imprint strike a balance between precision and release, proving that functional does not mean predictable. There’s a confidence and optimism running through his work that continues to resonate on dancefloors worldwide.
As a DJ, Pangaea is a trusted force. His sets at Berghain, fabric, Dekmantel, Glastonbury, Junction 2, and Houghton have cemented his reputation as a selector with both vision and bite. The records he plays inform the music he makes, creating a tight feedback loop where intention, impact, and identity remain unmistakably his.
Through his long-running Rinse FM residency and global touring, Pangaea draws deeply from UK dance music lineage while constantly pushing beyond it. Operating in the space between sounds, scenes, and expectations, his work continues to uncover new pathways, delivering club music that feels urgent, physical, and alive.
